Kucina is designed like a “Trattoria” from Italy, giving it that Classic Italian feel. It’s rustic, comfortable and homely. They serve Classic Italian dishes. 3. Casuarina Curry @ MacPherson Road

If you’ve had too much of the same type of Chinese cuisine this weekend, you can always rely on Indian food. With their crispy and fluffy pratas, murtabaks, roti johns and thosais it might just be that break you need. They also have Briyanis with either Chicken, Mutton or Fish. They are open during the CNY public holidays (28,29,30 January) from 8am to 12 midnight.Last orders will be at 11.40pm. The following weekend (4-5 Feb) will follow the same timing. They take reservations for big groups so do call in early to book for big groups. Last minute reservations might be difficult.

4. Marhaba Restaurant

5. Muugu Fork

Muugu Fork is a restaurant that will be open till late. Up to 3AM on some nights! We read that their Carbonara Mushroom Pasta and Mushroom soup are homemade from good mushrooms so if you are a fan of that definitely head to Muugu Fork this weekend. They also have this cool “Winter” Coke which which is a classic glass bottle coke that slushies up by itself once the cap is popped.

6. T Bob’s Corner

They serve mainly Western food, with some Asian and fusion dishes such as spaghetti Phad Thai. Highly recommend are their Honey BBQ Beef Ribs and Lamb Ribs, Teriyaki Salmon and Salted Egg Calamari! Our mains range from $7 to $31.

7. The Ramen Stall

The Ramen Stall provides the Muslim community with a wide variety of halal Japanese food. They painstakingly create each dish from scratch instead of using sauces and pre-mixes available in the market. Open only at night, from 5pm to 5am, they serve just your favorite sushi, but also a variety of ramen and tapas style munchies. A hot favourite is the Volcano Ramen, beef torched sushi as a side dish, or the sashimi boat for the more adventurous palate. The Ramen Stall also has CNY specials and halal yusheng!

9. Hyde & Co.

Despite its British appearance, Hyde & Co gives a glimpse into its dual personality as soon as you browse through its menu. Wilder (pronounced weel-der) was created around the concept of “wilderness”, in a pursuit to reconnect with nature. Their ingredients are hand made in-house, down to the brioche buns used in the extremely tasty Sloppy Pulled Beef Burger, and in all their burgers.
