Free marinating service for quick and mess-free barbecues

All the meats were already marinated so it was convenient to just fire up the grill, cook and eat! You can choose what kind of meat to order from ZAC Butchery. We learnt that ZAC Butchery has a free marinating service where you purchase any meat and the butcher Masters will marinate them at no extra costs. You can choose from Basil and Mediterranean Lime, Spicy Peri-Peri or BBQ and Cajun.

For this barbeque we used an aluminium tray and charcoal which we bought ourselves. We wished we knew that you could get all that from ZAC Butchery too! According to them, they provide charcoal, fire starters, tongs smoking wood chips, grilling planks and grill accessories like rotisserie kits, marinade injectors and digital thermometers! (You could have told us earlier about this ZAC so we can save the trouble of hauling charcoal around Singapore!)

No wonder the meats taste good…they have German standards! Das right.

ZAC butchery processes all meats and produces its own selection of sausages, hams, and cold cuts in Singapore through its affiliated company, ZAC Meat Pte Ltd, a halal-certified butchery production facility specialising in meat supply and processing since 1996. By doing so, high quality and food safety standards can be ensured for all products, which are produced to German standards by their German Master Butcher.

Happy Birthday to ZAC and Happy Birthday to us!

Q&A: Does milk need to be from a halal-certified source?

Question from reader Zahira: Salam sis, I attended your reading the labels class and found it to be really useful and knowledgeable. I have some questions if you don't mind. If the ingredient is milk (e.g. goat's milk, cow's milk), does it need to be from a halal source or just milk in general is fine? I've attached a copy of the ingredient list and logo for your reference. Looking forward to your reply. Thanks, Zahira
