Every year, as (almost) the whole country goes into holiday mode and have reunion dinners with their extended families at Ah ma and Ah gong’s house, malls and hawker centres go quiet for 2-3 days. Within these 3 days, the rest of the population that don’t celebrate Chinese New Year also take advantage of the extra time to catch up with their families and friends. Question is, where do we go? If nenek’s house is not open because nenek also going out, you can meet up and makan at any of these 10 halal restaurants that are open throughout Chinese New Year!

Flavour Flings is famous for the Salted Egg Croissant, and for being one of the first in Singapore to bring in the Raclette Cheese as part of their main dishes. This CNY, they are also whipping out some special dishes just for the festivities!

I did a video on this in December 2019 which went pretty wild. During my visit 5 out of 6 dishes got #ravingreviews, making this Italian Restaurant one that I definitely recommend. Pop by for some italian food!

At Grill Ninety Nine, I recommend the steak, the mushroom soup and the crabcakes. When in doubt, just ask the server which items are made from scratch in the restaurant, and you wont go wrong.

Craze Kitchen is deep in the heart of Tampines. It’s a place you can find western food and also Asian fusion Dishes. My recommendation? The Laksa Pasta. I still remember the taste. ooh!
