Amaryllis: The Wedding with The Best Food from Both Worlds

In a wedding, which is the most memorable part for you? Is it the wedding decor or the wedding food? If you ask me, I wouldn’t end up with a single choice because it’s like a yin & yang to me! Both affect the experience of the guest, and it will stay for a long time in their mind (of course I’m part of that ‘kind’ of guest, haha!).

Around two months ago, Rempah Ratus invited me to taste food at a wedding held in the Amaryllis Ballroom and until now, I can still remember how good the food tasted in the Amaryllis Ballroom. I even can’t wait to share why I got attached so much to this wedding buffet in just one visit.

When I arrived at Amaryllis Ballroom, I was so impressed with the set-up! Because I attended an actual wedding, the set-up was really bright, neat, and had ample space for all the guests. I was so in love with the interior; it was super beautiful and looked luxurious! Not only attending the wedding, but I also observed the movement of all the guests there, they all looked really comfortable during the wedding ceremony, and even they could sit while enjoying the food.

Speaking about the food, at first, I was greeted by the selections of western food, and it’s all halal! Full slabs of meat, duck, roasted chicken, and even a whole salmon complete with potatoes, spread beautifully on the high table. They even have a full pan of seafood on ice and an insane spread of desserts; you’ll find canapés on spoon & biscuits, and my favourite: durian créme Brulee. Oh! There was also the tapas station, which was full of spaghetti and pasta topped with prawns, fish, and others with sundried tomatoes. It was all so mesmerizing, and I love each and every one of them❤️.

I ATE a bit of EVERYTHING to have taste on them (seriously haha!). After finishing my taste in western food, I moved to the traditional Malay buffet because that’s how I judge the buffet spread. They have white rice, sambal sotong, ayam rendang, sambal goreng pengantin, and bubur kacang hijau durian. Just look at my shocked face in this reel. I. couldn’t control my face. The most basic think on the menu that blew my mind was that their rice cake & white rice were extra soft that day. I don’t know where else I would be able to enjoy that combination of lodeh, sambal, and suuuper soft and moist rice again anywhere.. so, if you have a wedding at Amaryllis and place this Malay buffet into your wedding, please invite me for the food! Haha! Everything was #ravingreviews, my mouth was just exploding with all the flavours.

This spread, my friends, is what I call Traditional Malay food. 10/10 recommend. #ravingreviews.

This buffet just impressed me with its tasty, classy, and generous spread of foods & desserts. Food has the power to create a memorable moment for the guest, and that’s what happened to me! This was probably wedding of the year in 2023 in my head, even until now. Hats off to Amaryllis, the recommended wedding venue, in a heartbeat❤️

I’m going to leave the full menu for Amaryllis here, just for your consideration in case you’re planning a wedding in the near future 🙂
